HomeFront Calgary

HomeFront is the "what's next?" when someone makes a call to police for domestic violence and charges are laid. HomeFront is a core partner in the Specialized Domestic Violence Court. The Court uses a team of experts in order to ensure appropriate and efficient responses to domestic violence incidents. Members of the justice system work collaboratively in this court to ensure that cases are treated in a timely fashion with the needs of the family kept at the forefront.

How we Help

Specialized Case Management

HomeFront receives 100% of charged domestic violence files from the Calgary Police Service. Our Case Managers provide clients with court updates, resources, risk assessment and safety planning, while ensuring their interests and wishes are taken into consideration throughout the court process.

Community Collaboration

Domestic violence is a complex issue that cannot be solved by a single agency. By working alongside our partners and other agencies, we can surround families with the integrated services and supports they need to end the cycle of violence.

Indigenous Initiatives

HomeFront has worked alongside Indigenous communities in the development of their own coordinated domestic violence response. Through these connections and relationships, we've helped to develop initiatives such as the Calgary Indigenous Court and Safety of Indigenous Women in Urban Settings.
